At Vietnam Architecture Exhibition (Vietarc’09), the event, most expected by professional circle and business guests, was International Architecture Forum. This is the largest-scale international architecture forum in Vietnam with the presentation of 17 well-known speakers, architects in and out the country. The forum covered 5 current world-wide architectural topics such as: Sustainability and Urban Planning Policy, Sustainability and Architecture, Global Architecture vs. Local Vernacular, Cutting-Edge Architecture and Living Space but all of them focus on a common topic, which is “Architecture in Vietnam - Meeting the Challenges of Tomorrow” showing the relationship between current settings with the future of Vietnam architecture. The forum ceremonially took place at the 500-seat Conference Hall with all modern conveniences in 3 days (June, 4-6, 2009).
According to the organizers, The aim of Vietarc’09 is to mark a big event in affirming current position to recognize the potentiality, opportunities and challenges in the future.
